Which games does Apex support?

Le Mans Ultimate on Windows. It supports LMU today; no other games are listed as supported.

Does it work with a controller?

Yes. Setup asks whether you use a wheel or controller. You need a free button for push-to-talk and a microphone.

Do I need to know turn numbers?

No. Apex says corners in plain words, like “the hairpin” or “the next corner”, from where you are. Turn numbers are an option in setup.

Will it talk during qualifying?

Hardly. It stays quiet on your push laps; you get an out-lap brief, then your lap time and position.

How do I make it stop talking?

Say “shut up”, “back off” or “let me drive”. Apex goes quiet at once, keeping safety calls. You can also choose the quiet talk level.

Does it swear?

Only if you choose the spicy voice. It swears at the situation, never at you, and never uses slurs. Choose clean voice if you prefer.

What does it send to the internet?

Push-to-talk audio becomes text on your PC. Your question and a short race summary, describing other cars by position, never by driver name, go to Apex’s server and Claude. Radio text goes to Microsoft speech services for the voice. Race feedback uploads are optional and opt-in.

How do I cancel?

During the free beta there is nothing to cancel. When paid plans start, cancel any time in one click from your account; you keep access to the end of the period you paid for.

What is the refund policy?

Ask within 7 days of the first payment of a subscription, or of a yearly renewal, and you get the full amount back. The details are at /refunds.

Is Apex affiliated with the game?

Apex is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Le Mans Ultimate, Studio 397 or Motorsport Games.

Do I need an NVIDIA graphics card?

An NVIDIA GPU is recommended for the fastest speech recognition. Apex also works without one, more slowly.

Is a licence key required for the beta?

No. The open beta is free and needs no key. Claude answers your questions in 10 races; practice and qualifying never count, and the radio itself never stops. Claude answers up to 10 questions for each hour of a race (an hour's unused ones carry over), and 10 a day across practice and qualifying; after that the backup engineer answers. A race longer than an hour counts once for each hour started.

Send us a race

After a race, Apex can optionally send your recording with your feedback. This is opt-in, and other drivers’ names are removed. It helps the team understand what happened.
