Your race data.
Clearly explained.

What happens on your PC

Apex reads race data that Le Mans Ultimate shares with local apps. Race recordings (tapes), your settings and your race history are stored on your PC. Push-to-talk audio becomes text on your PC; that audio is never uploaded.

Questions and answers

When you ask a question, its text and a short race summary go to Apex’s server, which passes them to Anthropic’s Claude (through the AICredits API today; Anthropic’s own API directly as Apex moves over). The summary holds positions, gaps, fuel and your car data, and your first name so the engineer can use it. Other cars are described by position and car, never by driver name.

Apex’s server does not keep your questions or race summaries after the answer is sent.

Your install’s token and Claude race count

Each install gets a random token from Apex’s server the first time it starts; the server records when it registered. To apply the beta’s limit of 10 Claude races, it also keeps, per token, a list of random race ids in which Claude answered, and how many questions Claude answered in each of those races and in practice each day (the daily count is deleted after three days). No race data is kept with them.

Radio voice

The text of radio lines that are not pre-recorded is sent to Microsoft speech services to produce the voice.

Optional race feedback

After a race you can choose to send a rating, a comment and a summary of the race, and, only if you tick the box, the race recording. Other drivers’ names are removed from the recording before it leaves your PC.

Payments and licences

Payments will be handled by a merchant-of-record payment provider when paid plans start. Apex never sees card details.

The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

Retention and requests

Feedback and race recordings you choose to send are kept until you ask us to delete them, at most 12 months. To see or delete what we hold for your install, ask on the beta thread or email privacy@apexraceai.online.
